Who reads Privatelyregistered
Our readers are the people responsible for domains: small-business owners, bloggers, developers, web agencies managing client portfolios, nonprofit and retail teams, professional-service firms and security staff. Many arrive while making a decision, such as choosing a registrar, deciding whether to pay for privacy, securing an account after a scare, or checking whether a website is genuine. We don't publish traffic claims we can't back up. Ask us for current figures and we'll share what our analytics actually show.
Formats
- Leaderboard (728 by 90): under the navigation on most pages, and between the header and body of articles.
- Square (300 by 250): in the sidebar and within article text, never closer than a paragraph to another ad.
- Skyscraper (160 by 600): a sticky sidebar unit on desktop screens.
- Sponsored articles: clearly labeled as sponsored at the top of the page, written to the same accuracy standards as our own work.
Legal pages and error pages carry no ads, and we never place ads inside the navigation or above an article's headline.
Editorial independence
Advertisers don't review, approve or influence articles. Buying an ad doesn't buy coverage, and it doesn't buy silence either. If a registrar or service we've written about advertises with us, our assessment of it stays the same.
What we won't run
No services that promise to unmask domain owners, no tools for evading lawful requests, no lookalike-domain sales, no products that sell personal data, and nothing that dresses up as a registrar notice or security warning.
